CCE is your resource for STEM curricula.

Children who participate in science activities outside of the classroom are more likely to be comfortable with science.

4-H aims to grow the next generation of inventors, entrepreneurs and problem-solvers by giving youth plenty of opportunities to try their hands at real world science. 4-H Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) projects give families science enrichment opportunities and connects kids to Cornell’s science outreach programs.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia and Greene Counties is your resource for STEM curriculum such as; Entomology, Robotics, Computer, Woodworking, and Financial Champions. The curriculum is available to 4-H members, leaders, teachers and others involved in youth development.

There are also many STEM activities available in PDF form. This collection of science activities is perfect for youth grades 3-6. The activities have been developed for afterschool, in-school, clubs and youth groups, camps and others wishing to explore science.  Lessons are written to be "grab and go" for any leader or teacher. There are activities in topics, such as:

  • Animal Science
  • Astronomy 1
  • Astronomy 2
  • Climate
  • Entomology
  • Flight
  • Geospatial Science
  • Lost Ladybugs
  • Plant Science
  • Water
