The Hudson Fish Advisory program provides education on what types of fish are safe to eat out of the Hudson River and its estuaries. An educator is available to table at community events with hand-outs and information on Hudson River fish and crabs. An educator is also available to present this information to a community group along with a presentation on food safety or nutrition. This service is free of charge, however participants are asked to fill out a survey on their eating patterns of fish from the Hudson River.
Nutrition programming is available to community groups for a small fee to cover the cost of materials. Community groups can choose the nutrition topic that best meets their needs and if they want a recipe demonstrated at the event.
