Building a Community Legacy Together - Lessons Learned

  • Saturday, December 2, 2017, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

4-H teen members from Columbia and Greene Counties will present the lessons and wisdom they gathered through interviews with older community members. The teens created questions that would elicit from each of the elders their advice for living or thoughts and recommendations about how to live a happy life. Come meet the teens and elders and gather some tidbits of advice that may help you live a happier life. This is all part of a larger research project led by the Cornell Institute for Translational Research on Aging and is based on the success of the Cornell Legacy Project in which more than 1,000 Americans over the age of 65 were interviewed to seek their practical advice on issues such as education, work and career, dating and marriage, raising children, finding happiness, and avoiding regrets.
