Ice Fishing: Natural Resources Education Series

  • Thursday, February 22, 2018, 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Our first event will be an ice fishing trip, provided that conditions are right.  We will meet at the Extension Education Center in Hudson and travel to either Lake Taghkanic or Queechy Lake.  Participants ages 16 and up will be required to show proof they have purchased a fishing license prior to leaving the Hudson site.  Youth will learn about how the DEC manage fish, how a tip-up works and some basics of ichthyology and limnology.

Please make sure to register with Andrew so that we can discuss the details of the trip.  Wool and/or fleece clothing is recommended.
