Getting antsy for spring and can’t wait to start digging in the dirt to start planting? Then come join the Master Gardener Volunteers of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia and Greene Counties for a hands-on seed starting workshop and get a jump on starting your garden! You’ll learn how home gardeners can not only save money but also grow a greater variety of plants for your garden, techniques for starting seeds indoors, proper care, lighting, and watering and how to prepare your seedlings for transplant into your garden.

This workshop will be held concurrently on Saturday, March 3rd from 10 a.m. to noon at two locations:the Extension Education Center in Hudson and the Agroforestry Resource Center in Acra.

The cost of the program is $15.00 per person and includes all materials. Participants will also receive a $5.00 coupon towards Spring Gardening Day, April 14th at Columbia-Greene Community College.

The Master Gardener Volunteers of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia and Greene Counties mission is to provide research-based gardening information and services to county residents such as soil testing, identification of pests and diseases, and answering gardener’s horticultural questions.
