Legal experts from the Columbia County Office for the Aging and Legal Aid Society Northeastern NY, along with representatives from Common Ground Dispute Resolution, Columbia County’s Fair Housing Office and Hudson City Court will speak on a variety of topics including fair housing law, landlord/tenant law, landlord/tenant rights and responsibilities, legal services and options, leases, evictions, habitability and repairs, right to privacy, and more. This free event is being sponsored by the Columbia County Housing Advisory Board (HAB).
Attendees will also be able to vote for their favorite “People’s Choice” poster that has been entered in this year’s annual Fair Housing Poster Contest. Open to third and fourth graders in the county, this year’s contest theme is “Houses for everyone”. Light refreshments will be served.
