The importance of the natural world to human health has long been recognized. Forest Bathing, also known as shinrin-yoku, is using the medicine of the forest to reduce stress and support healing and wellness.

Join us at Columbia County Soil and Water Conservation District on November 19th to practice Forest Bathing under the Beaver Moon! We will slow down and notice – consciously taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the wetland and forest while we connect with the healing powers of nature. We’ll make a few stops to engage our senses, deepen connections with the natural world, relax and take it all in! And we’ll learn a little about the North American Beaver as we gaze at the full moon!

No advance preparation is needed for forest bathing. There’s no right or wrong way to do it and it’s great for all ages; just come and be yourself. All are welcome to enjoy this fun and reflective opportunity! Please dress appropriately for an outdoor walk. Sturdy waterproof shoes, tick protection, and water are recommended for this fun interactive event!
