DESCRIPTION:Learn how to save, dry, store, and test seeds so you can preserve your favorite plants and grow them again next season.Saving seeds gives you greater control over what grows in your garden. By selecting seeds from the healthiest, strongest plants, you can preserve desirable traits that perform well in your local conditions, such as better yields, disease resistance, and reliable growth. Saving your own seeds also reduces reliance on outside suppliers, builds self-reliance, and helps preserve genetic diversity. In this presentation we’ll discuss plant types and pollination basics, harvesting techniques, drying and storing seeds and testing for seed viability. Registration is required in order to attend this class.Register for Garden Legacy: Saving Seeds for Seasons Ahead
