Asbestos can be harmful to your health

Asbestos

Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral found in rock and soil. It was popularly to used in a variety of material because of its strength, heat resistance, and insulation. However, it was discovered that it is very toxic and can cause cancer. It is commonly found in buildings, homes, and even fabric and people should be on the lookout. Below are links for more information about asbestos, how it affects the body, where it is commonly found, and what to do. 

United States Environmental Protection Agency gives an overview of asbestos and provides information for families, schools and building owners. 

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission also provides a general summary of asbestos and what to do if it is found in your home.
