Canceled: Forest Bathing at Siuslaw!

  • Sunday, July 24, 2022, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

This class is cancled

Due to the expected heat on Sunday we will be canceling Forest Bathing on July 24th. Another Forest Bathing course will be held in September.

Into the Forest for Healing and Wellness – Join us as we slow down and notice – consciously taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the forest and connecting with its healing powers. We’ll make a few stops along the way to engage our senses, deepen connections with the natural world, relax and take it all in!

Forest Bathing is using the medicine of the forest to reduce stress and support healing and wellness.

The importance of the natural world to human health has long been recognized. In the 1980s the Japanese coined a term for it – shinrin-yoku – which means taking in the forest atmosphere during a leisurely walk.

No advance preparation is needed for forest bathing. There’s no right or wrong way to do it and it’s great for all ages; just come and be yourself. Everyone is welcome in the forest. Please dress appropriately for an outdoor, woodland walk. Sturdy shoes, tick protection, and water are recommended for this fun interactive event!
