Ecological Adaptations for Diversifying Farms

Join us to learn about intentional changes for your farm based on environmental and financial impacts. This four part series will include 3 webinars and field day. We will be offering direct, tailored support to each participating grower during April through August focused on those implementing adaptations to their operation. Please note that the intent is for growers to register to attend ALL events. If you cannot attend all events, please check in with workshop organizers. Register today and guarantee your spot!

Dates:

Session 1: Wednesday March 29, Zoom, 4:30-6:30 pm

How can ecologically mindful practices help farms be more resilient and profitable in the face of climate change?

Session 2: Wednesday April 5th, Zoom, 4:30 – 6:30 pm

Specific crop information, examples of adaptations and new cropping systems that have worked on farms.

Independent Work: April – August (with support from CCE staff)

Workshop participants will pursue one or more adaptations on their own farm.

Session 3: Monday Sept 11, 2023, In person, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm (lunch included)

  • Arthur’s Point Farm - Ghent, New York - Supports ecological agriculture and the implementation of natural solutions to climate change.
  • Woven Stars Farm - Ghent, New York - Incorporates livestock in a regenerative farm plan.
  • Session 4: Wednesday Sept 20, Zoom, 4:30-6:30 pm

    Review first steps and explore future support – how can farmers make this happen?
