Avid birder (and esteemed Library trustee) Kathy Schneider will be giving a talk on feeding habits of the birds we find in our own back yard! This topic can be a lot more complicated than simply putting out seeds and hoping for the best. Kathy will discuss a number of topics, including the best placement for feeders, bird feeder hygiene and maintenance, dealing with pests such as squirrels and bears. If you’re interested in attracting beautiful local birds (while benefiting them as well), be sure not to miss this program!
Presented by Kathy Schneider.
This program is part of the Master Garden Volunteers Speaker Bureau. Organizations throughout Columbia and Greene Counties can request timely, scientifically accurate programs on a variety of gardening topics and environmental issues. To find out more or to request a talk please see our Speaker Bureau page.
