America Recycles Day

America Recycles Day® (ARD), a Keep America Beautiful® program, is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. America Recycles Day (ARD) which takes place annually on November 15, educates people about the importance of recycling to our economy and environmental well-being, and helps to motivate occasional recyclers to become everyday recyclers.

Keep America Beautiful also urges people to pledge to reduce, reuse, re-purpose, and recycle in every aspect of their lives. Available online and via paper pledges at America Recycles Day events across the country, the #BeRecycled Pledge is a promise you're making to actively live a more sustainable lifestyle, by:

  • Recycling at home, work, school, and on the go (while driving and on vacation);
  • Buying products made with recycled content; and
  • Educating and encouraging friends, family, and neighbors to take the  #BeRecycled Pledge.

Sign up for a scheduled ARC event today! You can easily extend the spirit of America Recycles Day in to the coming holiday season by augmenting your pledge to only buy recycled content to include purchasing items that aren’t individually or excessively packaged and are easily recycled.
