Date: Part One: Wednesday, July 10, 2024; Part Two: Wednesday July 17, 2024

Our 4-H Beginner Archery Series fosters responsibility and helps youth acquire knowledge, skills, abilities and the opportunity to develop social skills. 4-H certified instructors supervise each 4-H archery program. Safety is a primary concern. Youth will be taught accurate archery terminology and range commands. The beginner archery program will cover safety, parts of a bow and arrow, and how to properly shoot a bow.

Important Reminders:

  • Youth must follow all safety guidelines and commands set by instructors or they may be asked to leave the program.
  • All archers on the range must wear closed-toed shoes. No garden shoes, clogs, crocs or flip flops.
  • Long hair must be up in a ponytail or braid.
  • All archers must use our equipment.
  • Youth must be able to attend both parts of a series.
  • Please dress to spend time outside and bring drinking water.
  • If you are no longer able to attend you must let us know. These programs have limited spaces and are in high demand. If you are a no-show for the program and do not let us know ahead of time that you can no longer make it you will not be permitted to sign up for archery again this year.
  • This is a drop-off program. Adults are not required to stay but please be prompt in dropping-off and picking-up the youth.
