Join us for an afternoon of Agroforestry at Arthur’s Point in Ghent. The field day will include an introduction to the nursery and a tour of the orchard. During the day, we will see multiple examples of different agroforestry systems and species, and the goals and decision planning that went into these systems. Learn about resources available, how farming is comparable to agroforestry systems, and you will get the chance to ask any questions you may have about the farm's practices. Light refreshments will be available.
About Arthur’s Point:
Arthur’s Point is located in the Hudson Valley and has been in operation since 2020. The farm has developed a nursery where they focus on growing native and naturalized bare-root and potted trees, shrubs, and wildflower perennials. Their Nursery stock includes many species of trees and plants that can adapt to climate change and help with the restoration of the land. The farm also includes a large orchard, hedgerows, and a farm nearby that practices Silvopasture.
