CCE of Columbia & Greene Counties Hosts Annual Meeting!

At the Association’s November 16 annual meeting (held virtually) Board President Billy Greer announced the election of three new board members effective January 1, 2022. CCE welcomes Sandra Miller of Athens, Michael Brown of Germantown and Jonathan Farber of Leeds! In addition, the following current board members, eligible for additional terms, will continue on in 2022: Roberta Keller, Linda Levitt, Joshua Lipsman, and Rebecca Pinder. Many thanks to members of the Nominating Committee, Nicole Bliss, Bryan Frisbee, Cathi Annese, Nathan Chittenden and Jeff Friedman.

As required by the Association, a review of the current constitution was completed. The constitution was amended and approved via ballots submitted by residents of Columbia and Greene Counties.

The meeting also included reports from Billy Greer, Board President; Virginia Benedict, Treasurer and Evon Antonio, Executive Director. During his report, Billy Greer took time to acknowledge the contributions of Nicole Bliss and Bryan Frisbee whose terms on the board will conclude at the end of 2021. Several staff who retired in 2021 were also recognized – Linda Tripp, 4-H Issue Leader; Angela Tallarico, Senior Administrator; Theresa Mayhew, Resource Educator and Donna Peterson, Program Coordinator.

A presentation of 2021 program highlights for 4-H Youth Development; Agriculture & Natural Resources; Family & Consumer Sciences; Climate Change & the Environment as well as Taste NY, was shared with participants.
