Are you a forest owner or environmental enthusiast interested in learning how to improve the health of forestland while also promoting forest carbon storage and sequestration? Then join us on a guided woods walk in Siuslaw Model Forest focusing on the importance of forest carbon storage and its role in forest ecology and climate change mitigation. Learn first-hand about improved forest management practices and how these practices can promote carbon storage and sequestration in your forest. Forest owners can learn ecologically responsible ways to manage and improve the health of their forested land and how to qualify for financial incentives to do so. This is the first part of a recurring event that will be followed by 3 webinars, Webinar #1 will occur October 10, 2024, Webinar #2 will occur November 6, 2024 and Webinar #3 will occur December 11, 2024.
