An invasive species can be any kind of living organism— a plant, insect, fish, fungus, bacteria, amphibian, or even an organism’s seeds or eggs. If these are not native to an ecosystem, they can cause harm by altering the environment and other flora and fauna, impacting not only the economy but even human health.
